UAE Visa Medical Test Results: How to Check Status and What to Do If Delayed
Where you check a UAE visa medical test result depends on the authority or centre that ran your test. Tests done at Dubai Health medical fitness centres are checked on Dubai Health’s status page, and results are sent by SMS or email. Tests done through Emirates Health Services (EHS) are also reported by email and SMS. In Abu Dhabi, tests are done at screening centres approved by the Department of Health (DOH), such as SEHA’s Disease Prevention and Screening Centres and Capital Health Screening Centre, and each provider handles result checking in its own way. A medical result is separate from your visa application status, so a pending application does not tell you whether your medical result is ready.
How to Check Your UAE Visa Medical Test Result

Check with the authority or centre that ran your test, not simply the emirate you live in. Dubai’s government portal links both to Dubai Health’s status check and to the EHS application for the residency medical, so your receipt or SMS is the best guide to which service handled your test.
| Who ran your test | How you are notified | Where to check | Listed timing |
| Dubai Health medical fitness centres | SMS or email | Dubai Health’s medical fitness exam status page | Dubai’s government portal says results are typically available within 24 hours |
| EHS | Email and SMS | EHS service page and its listed channels | EHS provides a 24-hour window for the report and outcome. |
| DOH-approved centre in Abu Dhabi (SEHA, Capital Health) | Varies by provider | The provider’s own online result check; TAMM may also offer a service | SEHA lists 48 hours (regular and fast track) or 24 hours (premium); Capital Health lists 48 hours, 24 hours or same day by package |
Listed times are service standards, not guarantees. Your own result can take longer, for example if the centre has a backlog. Abu Dhabi providers list different result times by package.

Checking a Result Tested at Dubai Health
Dubai Health’s service journey starts with an application through the Salem Portal. After that, you visit a medical fitness centre with the required documents for the health check, which includes blood collection and a chest X-ray, with vaccinations only for certain professions. Dubai’s government portal states that applicants must be 18 or older. Dubai Health cites Cabinet Resolution No. (75) of 2022 as the basis for the service.
- Keep the reference or application number from the Salem Portal booking or from the centre, along with the receipt or SMS.
- Open the Dubai Health exam status page.
- Enter the details the form asks for.
- Read the status shown.

Dubai Health says the result is sent by SMS or email, so also check the mobile number and email address given at registration. Dubai Health’s customer team is available 24/7 on 800 60.
Checking a Result Tested Through EHS
EHS says the results are sent by email and SMS, and that the service completes the report and results in 24 hours. The process starts with logging in with a UAE Pass account and booking an appointment. Applicants must be 18 or older. EHS lists a valid passport or Emirates ID and one passport-type photo as required documents. Its listed channels are the EHS website, medical examination centres and Public Health Centers. If the message does not arrive, contact the centre where you were tested.
Checking a Result in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi’s tests are done at screening providers approved by the Department of Health (DOH). The u.ae portal lists “Visa screening – Seha” and “Regular visa screening in Abu Dhabi – Disease Prevention and Screening Centre” among the related e-services for the residence visa health requirements, so your test may have been done at a SEHA centre or at a private approved provider.
SEHA Disease Prevention and Screening Centres: SEHA’s visa screening page says you present your examination card within the specified period to receive your certificate: 48 hours for regular and fast track, and 24 hours for premium. The same page says you may also check the results of your medical examination online, through a link on that page.
Capital Health Screening Centre: Capital Health lists result times by package: 48 hours for standard, 24 hours for fast track and same day for VIP. Its results page says you can check your visa medical status using the transaction number on your receipt, and its toll-free number is 800 77 if a result has not arrived after the time listed for your package. The same page says that, as per DOH directives, visa fitness medical reports are not available in printed or digital format and are linked with ICP. That is one provider’s page, so it should not be read as a rule for every centre.
DOH standard: DOH’s Standard for Visa Screening Program says chest X-ray results must be processed and completed within 24 hours of the applicant attending a visa screening centre. This covers the X-ray result only, not the full certificate.
TAMM: A 2022 Gulf News article described a “Visa screening result” service on the TAMM platform, where applicants enter the application number received by SMS and the Unified ID number. TAMM’s availability and requirements should be confirmed on the live service, since the official TAMM page could not be opened for this guide.
If you cannot find your result, contact the centre where you were tested.
What Information You Need
| Item | Why it matters |
| Receipt, reference, application or transaction number | Most results are looked up with a number issued at the centre or booking portal. The name of the number varies by authority and centre |
| Mobile number and email used at registration | Results are sent by SMS or email, so an error in either one can stop the message arriving |
| Emirates ID or passport | Listed as required documents for the Dubai and EHS services |
| E-visa copy (Dubai) | Listed by Dubai Health as a required document |
Do not enter details in a result-checking form on a website that is not run by the relevant authority or testing centre.
If Your Result Has Not Arrived
The official pages do not give a troubleshooting procedure, so the steps below are practical advice, not official instructions.
- Look in your SMS inbox and in your email spam folder.
- Make sure the mobile number and email on your registration are correct.
- Use the status check of the authority or provider that ran your test, since that is the place to look for your result.
- Contact the centre where you were tested. In Dubai, call Dubai Health on 800 60. For Capital Health in Abu Dhabi, call 800 77.
- Do not pay a third party to “release” a result.
If a result cannot be found, check the number you are entering against the receipt, and ask the centre to confirm that your records were submitted.
What a Result Means for Your Residence Application
The medical fitness certificate is a step in the residence visa process. According to Dubai Health, residents can use the service to obtain their Medical Fitness Certificate as part of the application or renewal procedure for a UAE residency visa. See the UAE residence visa guide for the wider sequence, and the UAE work visa guide for the employer’s side.
A result does not mean your visa is approved. If you are not sure how the result reaches your immigration file, ask your sponsor, your PRO or the typing centre handling the application.
If the Result Is Unfit or Requires Further Action
Medical results should be interpreted by the testing centre or health authority, not by a website. The UAE Government portal publishes the official health conditions for residence visas, and the centre can explain what a specific result means for you. Outcomes, appeals and timelines are not confirmed on the official pages opened for this guide, so this article does not describe them.
Medical Result, Application Status and Cancellation Paper
These are three different things.
| What you want to know | Where it comes from |
| Whether your medical result is ready | The health authority or testing centre that ran the test |
| Where your visa application stands | ICP or GDRFA. See the UAE visa application status check guide |
| Proof that a previous residence was cancelled | The sponsor and the immigration authority. See the UAE visa cancellation paper guide |
The third row matters only if you are moving from one sponsor to another. A cancellation confirmation is not a medical result, and a medical result does not replace it.
Frequently Asked Questions
